‘Say Where’ for the iPhone Introduces Voice-Entry to Mobile Web Sites

Today at DEMOfall, Dial Directions introduced Say Where, an iPhone application for voice-entry to popular Web sites for mapping, business search, and reviews. Instead of typing, iPhone users just speak any “place” - any address, business, or point of interest. Users choose the mobile site they want to launch, such as MapQuest, Traffic.com, Yelp, Yellow Pages, and more.



Say Where is powered by Dial Directions’ proprietary voice-entry technology for mobile services and devices. Here’s how the free Say Where application works:

1. Users speak into their iPhone and say any place they want, like “524 Broadway,” “hardware store,” “Delfina Pizza,” or “Golden Gate Bridge”
2. Users choose a mobile site to launch
